Damian Montagu is a composer and music producer.

He attained an Arts degree from UEA before working in television (LWT and Planet 24) and marketing for four years.

He then co-founded Montagu Bourcier in 1997, which quickly became one of London’s leading composition and sound design companies. Montagu Bourcier worked with the world's leading agencies and production houses, and scored music on over one hundred and fifty brand campaigns.

His film scores include ‘The Cookie Thief’ (Palme d’Or nominated) and ‘Subterrain’, which was a collaboration with Michael Nyman, together with award winning films such as 'Football' (staring Helena Bonham-Carter). Documentary scores include The South Bank Show, Geo (a 20 part series for Arte) and 'The Science of Beauty'.

He has worked with top directors, including Paul Arden, Daniel Barber, Roman Coppola, David Kellogg, Dominic Murphy, Gore Verbinsky and Will Van der Vlugt.

In 2007, he produced an acclaimed album project for Katkhuda, the new solo project of Damian Katkhuda, founder of the band Obi. Later that year he also produced a track in Cape Verde, with the aim of raising awareness of the causes of HIV and AIDS.

Also in 2007, together with David Hill, Damian formed Radial, a company that specialises in the composition of bespoke music for commercials, games, film and TV.

In 2009, Damian worked with the BBC on its award winning Radio 3 programme, ‘Between the Ears’. His specifically composed music was used with narration to highlight the impact of the intensive fishing policies being practiced in Fair Isle, Shetland.

Damian also produces and manages Indie Award winning singer-songwriter Dawn Kinnard from Pennsylvania.
