Director: Gaby Dellal
Gaby Dellal’s first short depicts a young baby’s first interaction with a ball and follows his obsession through his early years until secondary school. The passing of the years are shown by matches played on the TV, from Maradona’s ‘hand of God’ to Owen’s wonderful goal against Argentina in France in 1998.
David Ogilvy, Simon Bourcier and Damian Montagu worked solely on the original score (but not the sound design on this film). Live instrumentation with Roberto Pla and his brass ensemble help to bring the soundtrack to life.
The film won Best Cinematography award at the Avanca Film Festival, and was winner of the FICE Award.
